Wow! Yesterday was soooooooooo fun! At 9:05 exactly, we stepped into a time machine and got transported back 200 years to Colonial Williamsburg during the Revolutionary War! We stepped into the town and were immediately engrossed in the 18th century bustling city. My colonial dress made it seem all the more authentic. We danced in the Governor’s Palace, enjoyed tea with Mr. Wythe, saw the one and only Patrick Henry speak, and got shrubs (a colonial drink) at a real tavern. The cool thing about Williamsburg is that everyone is in character! From loyalist ladies to patriot soldiers, no matter where you stop, expect to be bowed or curtsied to! Colonial Williamsburg is one of my very favorite towns, and I hope I will go back again.
