I’ll leave it to Dave to discuss in his blog our up close and personal experiences with anchoring in a place with extremely strong tidal shifts coupled with extremely strong winds, multiplied by a sailboat that decided to anchor within 50 feet us.
For me, I reflect on all that we learned, and am thankful for how well we can work together to solve problems (even in middle of the night). 🙂 We have learned a lot, and I know we have plenty more to learn. These few months are about just that…learning. We are here to hone our boating skills; work on getting the feel for how our boat handles, and maybe most importantly, it’s about understanding how we all work together.
A good deal of our time on the boat has been spent way outside of our “comfort zones”. This can be challenging, stressful, tiring, but also exhilarating. Oh, what an adventure we are on!
