The wind howled across the boat deck of Three At Sea. A dark midnight sky made visibility limited. The usually cool and clear Bahamian water looked foreboding. On the bow, Kathryn and Ayla stood ready, saving Three At Sea from drifting into coral.
This is true story. At 12:54, we were awakened by the beeping of our anchor alarm. When Dad got up and looked around, it soon became clear that we were drifting dangerously into shore. Soon, we were up and about, moving the boat and deploying another anchor. This is not easy considering the 30 knot wind and the fact that we had no machine to lowet it up and down for us. We had to do it by hand! Luckily, we survived, and now, we can check of midnight anchor alarm off our list of adventures!
