Location: Highborn Cay, Bahamas
I love to explore! My adventurous sense was re-kindled after todays adventure. We started by taking our bikes and riding up and down the smallish main road on Highborn Cay. What a rush to be able to fly along the road with the salty sea air in your hair. We then we made our way up a winding path to the supposed spring.
We soon discovered that the people of Highborn Cay have a sense of humor when we found the spring to be an actual tool spring, not a bathing spring. After a good laugh over this, my mom and I continued on this path and found the base of an abandoned home. All that was left was the tile floors of the rooms. It just makes you think…who lived there? What was life like? And why is it gone? Anyway, soon we where off again, and we landed on the most beautiful beach. The sand was so soft, I could have easily slept on it. Once mom and I were back on our bikes, we saw the next example of a sense of humor. The “Bus stop” with a skeleton waiting at it. We figured this means…there is no bus. :).
Don’t you love everything you find while out on an adventure?
