It has been blowing steadily for the past two weeks between 15 and 25 knots (with higher gusts)
My friend the wind....
since we arrived in the Bahamas. I kept thinking this has to be an exception, and a few boaters said it seemed cooler and windier than normal. However, after talking to a number of locals and doing some more reading, this is apparently winter in the Bahama’s. Supposedly there will be brief respites in front of each cold front, the calm before the storm so to speak.
Hmmm… not exactly what I was expecting. 20 knot winds and 72 degrees can feel down right chilly. Oh well, I’m sure this won’t be the first surprise along the way. Since there is not a darn thing I can do about it, I have decided to make peace with wind and just embrace the refreshing feeling and beautiful clear skies it gives you. 🙂
